Flying Buttress Area

  • 65 - Minotaur

    Grade: 5a | First Ascent: (Pre-1965)

    Start under the left-hand entrance to the archway and bridge up, then swing on to the outer face (exposed) and finish direct.

  • 66 - Flying Buttress

    Grade: 4a | First Ascent: (Pre-1965)
    Rating: 2

    Interesting rock architecture, excellent climbing and fine positions, make this a must for any visitors, especially on a sunny summer evening. Start at the lowest point of the buttress. Climb a short wall and thin polished crack, then finish up the final wall on good holds.

  • 66a - Variation Finish

    Make an excellent, exposed traverse left to finish up the arête.

  • 67 - Flying Arête

    The right-hand arête of the buttress can be climbed by a disjointed route that starts two metres farther right.

  • 68 - Pilot Crack

    Grade: | First Ascent: (Pre-1965)
    Rating: 0

    Climb the wide crack on the right to the archway, then finish up the short overhanging corner by some unusual moves.
