  • 36 - Flake Out

    Start two metres left of the crack at a sandy pocket, and climb to the top via twin sandy pockets.

  • 37 - Crackling

    Climb the conspicuous crack directly to the top.

  • 38 - Barnacle

    Grade: 4a | First Ascent: -1974
    Rating: 1

    Start at the lowest point of the slab, one metre to the right of Crackling. Make a difficult move to the horizontal break and continue direct to a sandy pocket, then trend right to finish.

  • 39 - Clog and Billycock

    Two metres to the right follow the cracks.

  • 40 - Barnraker

    Climb flakes to finish at a curious sandy `cave`.

  • 41 - Red Rose Rib

    A good, varied climb. The arête right of the slab. Start on the left, then mantel on to the arête and finish on the left.

    Farther right is a groove capped by a prominent square-cut roof. Climb this, then exit left.

    Climb the right edge of the groove to an overhang and finish up a short corner on the right.

  • 45 - Stubby Pinnacle

    Right again is a pedestal. Step right from the top of this to cracks on the slab and follow these to the top.

  • 46 - Railroad Groove

    Just to the right is a right-slanting groove with an overhang at the bottom. Climb this, finishing left at the top.

  • 47 - Right Track

    From the left side of the alcove on the right, climb the hanging crack with an awkward start.

  • 48 - Flake and Groove

    Gain the flake crack on the right of the corner. Go up this, then move back into the corner groove to finish.

  • 49 - Baldy`s Delight

    Climb Flake and Groove for about three metres until it is possible to swing right using obvious holds to gain the left edge of Black Pudding Slab (peg). Finish up the arête.

  • 50 - Mustard

    A bold start leads to pleasant slab climbing above. Ascend directly up the centre of the slab, starting by a thin finger-crack on the right edge of the overhang.

  • 51 - Black Pudding

    Start at a shallow chimney on the right of the slab and take a diagonal line from the extreme bottom right of the slab to the top left.
